QuickBooks Error Code 12002 is an error that occurs when there is a problem with the internet connectivity settings on your computer, preventing QuickBooks from connecting to the server. This error is usually related to network timeout issues and can occur when you are trying to download or update QuickBooks, or when QuickBooks is attempting to communicate with Intuit servers for various tasks such as sending payroll information or downloading updates.

In the inception, close QuickBooks and open the Internet Explorer.
After this choose Tools and then head to the Internet Option.
Subsequently, choose the Security Setting and ensure that the security setting is set to Medium High.
Now. click on the Globe icon and then choose the Content tab.
Ensure that the Content Advisor button is enabled.
After it is done, click on the Connection tab and follow the steps given below:
Choose Never a Dial connection.
Ensure that you select the right ISP and then tap on the OK button.
Then, choose the LAN setting option.
Check if the automatically detect settings check box is enabled.
Check if the Use a Proxy Server is disabled.
In case, you come across Port 80, you need to Un-check the box.
Once done with the steps mentioned heretofore, click on the OK button.
Now you have to proceed to the Advanced Tab:
Click on the Restore Advanced Setting option.
Afterward, search for Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, and Use TLS 1.2 options.
Make sure that the Use TLS 1.0 is checked and the other two are unchecked.
Once done, close the Internet Option and then click on the OK button.
Now shut down the Internet Explorer and restart the system.
After this, you have to open QuickBooks and update it again.
