I'm constantly crashing with OpenGL Error 1285. My game will freeze or black screen followed by "Not responding". I've just been waiting for Nvidia or Minecraft to fix it themselves but it's clearly not happening.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

Most likely you have some corrupted files, or maybe something else, most likely Nvidia update will not help you, read article about OpenGL Error 1285 there describes the reasons and solutions for your problem.
