Bug Report OS X - El Capitan
Permalink

Hello

I love Electric sheep - sadly after upgrading to El Capitan a bug surfaced.

I use three monitors. Sheep has always worked fine with my hardware setup, UNTIL I upgraded to El Capitan.

Now whenever sheep runs, one of the three monitors displays garbage.

The fault is not monitor dependent - it will be randomly one of the three monitors. That monitor will display garbage and a rolling bar until we exit the screensaver. On the next entry, it will be any one of the three monitors.

The other two monitors work fine while one has garbage and a rolling bar.

The behavior exists regardless of if we are in shared or independent mode, other options such as VBL and interpolation also have no effect.

Notes: the garbage seems to be a remnant of whatever app was running and/or a previous instance of sheep. It wold seem that whatever buffer is being used for that monitor is corrupt... maybe a misguided pointer?

I realize that a 3 monitor setup is probably not common - nevertheless, It would be awesome of the bug could be addressed - I miss using sheep!.

This seems to be fixed with the latest nVidea webdriver, used now with ElCapitan 10.11.5

So, seems to have been driver/OS related.
