Runescape publisher Jagex's publishing arm has picked up an exciting independent game under it's Jagex Partners brand, which makes Melvor Idle an indie not anymore. The idler-style game, similar to games such as Clicker Heroes or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, was released on RS Gold Steam in December of last year. It carries its roots from Jagex's flagship Runescape very proudly.
Melvor Idle is a detailed multi-track idle video game that will attempt to recreate "the basic elements to the RuneScape franchise in a way that they can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace," says the publisher. It's a very well-designed idle game that has a lot of different things to make and grow, aswell having a special focus on the absence of luxury mechanics that require a restart.
Jagex has been rumored to have discovered the project at the beginning of 2020, and a lot of the staff at the publisher liked it before the officially Steam launch in the month of October the same year. As you can imagine, the company is quite pleased to have been able to collaborate with the makers for Buy RS Gold one of their favourite games. "Being being able to collaborate on this with Jagex to directly work on this project has been a dream realized," said Brendan Malcolm who is the sole creator of Melvor Idle studio Games by Malcs.
