Is the word garbage American?

"Garbage" was first documented in English in 1430, long before there was even an American, let alone American English as residential junk removal services It appears to have been initially used to refer to general garbage in the 1580s, before the advent of AE.

Garbage is a noun chiefly used in the US, Canada, and Australia. It originated from Anglo-Norman. The meaning of garbage is food waste that is left after eating. It is also not specific to the food context. It can be used in many senses. In context with the human being, it means a person who is useless and does nothing.
