World of Warcraft Classic has kicked off the Ahn'Qiraj War Effort. Players will also be able to kick off a quest line to create the Scepter of the Sands, allowing them to ultimately ring the gong that opens the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj on their realm. The first player on each realm to complete the entirety of the quest line becomes that realm's Scarab Lord, getting the ultra-exclusive Qiraji battle tank mount as their reward.

After the first player has hit the gong on the realm, other players have ten hours to also hit the gong to get their own Qiraji battle tank mounts.

The event will conclude once the War Effort has been completed, culminating in the opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, which opens up the next raid tier for World of Warcraft Classic with access to two raids: the 20-player Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, and the 40-player Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.

The Gates of Ahn’Qiraj have just been opened in World of Warcraft Classic and, just like in the old days, the opening is being heralded by a series of events which includes gathering war supplies, completing epic and hardcore guild quest chains, and culminating in a 10-hour war against the insectoid Qiraji and Anubisath race.

During these events, players will get the chance to earn Brood of Nozdormu reputation points, rare gear, and the exclusive Qiraji battle tank mount. Once the dust settles, players will gain access to the new/old 20-player Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and 40-player Temple of Ahn'Qiraj raid instances.
