Mafia City devs add a UK studio to work on a new gangster games
It always surprises me how big an impact players can have when they take against something, even with a game as popular as PUBG.
Mafia City Game Ltd was founded in 2004 to manage and further develop Mafia City. It now boasts a full-time staff of 18 people in four countries and a network of over 200 volunteers, spread out across the whole globe.

Alright, it is mostly about murdering everyone, but one of you mob bosses can send you cars, one can send you guns and another can get a street doctor to patch you up. That's how mobs work, you see. Each person you manage not to piss off sends you useful stuff.
Onto the sex industry, you can take out their pimps and catch the mobsters in the act in one of the brothels, popping their heads before they can even pull up their pants.

The most popular game on Steam, one developed in the open with its community, has "Mixed" reviews?

In a neat little touch, your decisions about whether to act violently or not at certain points feed into Lincoln’s later actions. Right at the beginning, I got to decide whether or not to kill a tied-up man during a robbery. Naturally, I shot the poor bastard right in the face (just to, er, test out the physics engine). A short while later, I made an unpleasantly brutal stealth kill where Lincoln smashed a man’s face repeatedly against the smouldering inside of a furnace (“he was blatantly a racist,” I kept reassuring myself).

The original game was to cast you as Russian Jew in the '80s, rescued from a Soviet labor camp by Americans and recruited for a spy group called Rhapsody - the same name as the Mafia City Game itself. While many of the ideas in Rhapsody never took concrete form, the Yotta Games team were reportedly “ecstatic” about it. But things changed.
