Non-linear rendering of edges

While the [sheep] loops render linearly with respect to time, the edges do not seem to near the begin and end points. Where would I look (assuming the flam3 code) to turn the non-linear aspect off and have the edges render linearly across the time span just like the loops do?

I ask because I am producing some animated flame fractal art using motion elements, and the non-linearness of the edges is throwing off the sync of the fractal's movement with the audio it is being made for.

Motion Elements are turning out to be quite fun to work with - ... here is my plug for including them on the sheepserver upgrade that is in the works.
